Though I walk through the valley of the Shadow of Death, I fear no evil, for I command the Shadows Hades, God of the Underworld Of course, that would be based off of Psalm 23. This would be probably the most labour intensive piece I've done. I wanted to work with the actual myth of Hades, and not the vilification of him. Which is why the picture, while dark, is not bloody, gory, or in my opinion, overly evil. Because as far as gods went, he wasn't 'evil', simply feared. I changed the horse's head to wearing the Helm of Darkness, so the face is not a skull, just covered with one, which is also where the rams horns attach. In theory this was supposed to make Hades invisible, but of course, that simply wouldn't work for a manip Stock Background: Mine, [link] and [link] ~archetype-stock [link] *LongStock [link] Horse/Helm of Darkness: ~Colourize-Stock [link] ~blue-horse-stock [link] =Falln-Stock [link] Dead Horse: ~maatstock [link] ~blue-horse-stock [link] and [link] Texture/Pluto (because you can't have a Hades picture without Pluto!): `hameed [link] Made for the *Mouliny Equine Gods contest |

I think it turned out very well! The background is awesome, love the eroded look.

not l o n g at all . . .
There was another manip I saw a while ago, I can't remember who did it, who had rams horns on the horse too, which was definitely subconscious inspiration. Too bad I can't remember who did it, or I'd send you over to take a look at the pic.
And yes, I love the background too, it just came together very nicely I think
How's that for a little bit of blowing my own horn? LOL
